Just when you think it can’t get any crazier in the transgender debate, it does.

Vanderbilt University, in Nashville TN, has issued a statement of denial to reports that it doesn’t require parental permission to transition youth under the age of 18. The statement focuses on videos dating back to 2018 at a conference in which Dr. Shayne Taylor notes that transgender top and bottom surgeries bring in a lot of dough to the university. Vanderbilt asserts that the recent reports are misleading.

The trouble is it’s nearly impossible to walk-back a video. You see a Dr. Taylor at a podium speaking about how much money Vanderbilt brings in just on “top” surgeries, never mind the aftercare. It’s become a booming business to transition young people primarily because Obamacare required coverage for this “medical treatment” and because transgender medical care entails a lifetime of follow ups and medication, it’s a gift that keeps on giving for a lifetime. Effectively the patient will never be permanently “cured” of the misfortune of being born in the wrong body.

I wasn’t sure I was watching an actual medical seminar or a Mary Kay rally as Dr. Taylor was proudly gushing at the largess of revenue to be made on people’s suffering. Surely the transgender care department has sold enough elective transgender surgeries to have earned themselves a Pink Cadillac

In addition, if the newly minted transgender person doesn’t like their new found sexual identity, they can go through Obamacare covered surgery to have it all reversed. Because they will be transitioning back.

In another video a Dr. Ellen Clayton said people who conscientiously object (even on religious grounds) are problematic and would face consequences. In its denial statement, Vanderbilt said that was not true.

So which is it? Vanderbilt doesn’t hold these strictures or the two doctors on the videos are delusional? It’s got to be one or the other and I would think that if these doctors are lying or just bat shit crazy shouldn’t there be consequences for them?

In an earlier post on this blog, “Why the Need to Hide?” I wrote about obfuscation or downright lies surrounding the teaching of Critical Race Theory to elementary and high school students in public schools.[1] My point was if something is so great why not let everybody in on it?

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is a nonprofit. I’ve run a national nonprofit and know when you enjoy a 501(c)3 status with the IRS, your accounting is an open book. I have a legal right to ask and get their 990 tax filings, I can’t be denied. If they won’t send them to me (I am sure it’s huge), I have a right to walk into their accounting office and go through them and even ask for a breakdown of line items, such as income according to class. Dr. Taylor coos about what great income transgender surgeries are to the hospital. So what exactly is that number?

Makes me wonder how much big medicine and big pharma are behind this societal onslaught to convince everybody, especially kids, that the body they were born in is a huge mistake.

In 2019, Aletho News wrote that transgender surgeries produced $1.3 billion per year in revenue. Given that was three years ago and gender dysphoria has become a “common” condition, there’s no doubt it’s got to be hovering around $2 billion or more. In addition Aletho reports the pharmaceuticals cost per patient is $100,000 to $200,000 per year for the rest of that patient’s life to maintain their new gender identity.

This cost is covered by insurance, Obamacare says so. While there’s a portion of our society that rails against corporations and their millionaires and billionaires, my money bets that they don’t rail against huge takings by Big Medical and Big Pharma for gigantic transgender transition profits. If you come across that protest let me know.
