The Romanticism of Transgenderism

Most will remember the story a few months ago of the Korean “Wi Spa” in Los Angeles. Wi Spa is well known in the community and has operated for years. One side of the spa is for men and another side of the spa is for women.

On June 24, 2021 women went to the spa manager to complain that there was a “man” in the dressing room of the women’s side of the spa, walking around with his genitals exposed. They were told that the spa could do nothing given California law that demands that anyone who claims to be any gender must be believed and must not be discriminated against in areas of housing, employment, services, etc.

This is tyrannical objectivism in an area that is extraordinarily subjective. For some time, people have argued that nothing bad will happen, trans-genders are just trying to “live their lives.” They insist that being against “self-identifying” with no requirement of proof of a sex change, hormonal treatment or even generally accepted outward appearance, is transphobic. It’s the Target Stores women’s bathroom debate.

What makes this story more interesting is the man, exposed to himself to the young girls who were present. Why were young girls present? Wikipedia gives a definition of what a Korean spa is like vs. other types of spas.

“Traditionally, Korean baths and spas known as jjimjilbang (Korean pronunciation: [t͈ɕimdʑilbaŋ]; Korean: 찜질방; Hanja: 찜질房; MR: tchimjilbang, lit. 'Steamed-quality room') mandate nudity within gender-segregated areas, and are, according to the BBC, a "family affair".

Thus the young girls being present at the Spa. Wi Spa has three segregated areas, one for men, one for women and one for both men and women (the latter required clothing covering the genitals).

The man who exposed himself had two options. Go to the all-male side and be nude or go to the gender mixed side and wearing coverings. But he chose the all-female side where he knew both women and girls would be nude.

The California law is to blame for this behavior by the man, as it defines not gender, but “sex”.

(e)(5) "Sex" includes, but is not limited to, pregnancy, childbirth, or medical conditions related to pregnancy or childbirth. "Sex" also includes, but is not limited to, a person's gender. "Gender" means sex, and includes a person's gender identity and gender expression. "Gender expression" means a person's gender-related appearance and behavior whether or not stereotypically associated with the person's assigned sex at birth.

I find it interesting that while California came up with this tortured definition of “sex” and “gender” that there is an active resolution at the United Nations to cleave these two things into separate boxes and limit women’s sports to a “sex” definition versus a “gender” designation. I also find it interesting that California state legislators relegate “sex” as a thing you were “assigned” at birth. My argument is that no one is “assigned” a sex at birth, they pretty much are “assigned” a sex at conception and there’s not much the California State Legislature can do about that.

But the Wi Spa debacle may be quickly coming to a close. The man who exposed himself has now been arrested on sex offense charges, 5 counts to be exact and it’s not the first time he has been charged with such crimes. The investigation and subsequent arrest leads one to believe what most of us already understood, the guy was a pervert and was attempting to get his thrills by exposing himself to women and more importantly, girls.

And while some may say “That’s one instance and it’s not happening on a wide scale basis,” ask any California Prison guard how often it happens that men will take full advantage of a law to do what men do often; which is prey on women.

California prisons are experiencing a “wave of pregnancies” since a bill was instated in the beginning of 2021 that men could transfer to women’s prison by identifying as women, regardless of the nature of their crime, even sex crimes against women.

California did not require any “proof” of any behavior or physical alterations that might make a man’s claim somewhat credible. As a result, prisons are now beefing up available birth control and handing out condoms to the newly arriving self-identified women.

I have known transgenders in my life and for the most part, they generally want to be left alone to live their lives as they see fit. Just like the rest of us. But our pro-transgender hysteria has opened a very wide gate for truly predatory heterosexual men to assume a role that will provide them greater opportunity to act out their sickness.

And no one seems to be willing to come up with a law to address that.
